Life begins to sprout from a tiny seed, preparing for a long journey ahead.

The process may not always be smooth, occasionally entangled in thorns.
Leave everything behind for a moment and return to this land of Hualien and Taitung.

Step into the depths of the valley and tread along mountain paths,
practice finding peace among the natural embrace.
Savor a bite of blood yam leaf rice and sip a glass of millet wine,
using natural ingredients to restore your weary body.

Experience a limited wild feast, sing with the wind,
and participate in mountain competitions.
Enjoy authentic selections,
food experiences,
and handcrafted goods.

Everyone is a seed.
This summer,
let us gather in the valley,
slow down, and let go.
Draw healing power from the land and await new growth.

August 24-25, 2024
Forget the clamor and worries, and let your light shine anew.

  • It would be a shame not to have a picnic in the large grassy area! Bring your own picnic mats and photo props, and have a summer picnic after loads of food at the market for a sumptuous outdoor feast!
  • We encourage you to bring reusable utensils and tableware to do your part for the earth!
  • Pack your bag with the 3 precautionary items for peace of mind while enjoying the event
    1. Insect Repellent: Since the event venue is located in a natural environment, bringing insect repellent will keep mosquitoes and bugs away, allowing you to enjoy the event even more!
    2. Sunscreen: We’re certain you will be basking under plenty of golden sunshine, especially in eastern Taiwan. Don't forget to apply sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun's rays!
    3. Rain protection: An umbrella in your bag is a good idea. Holding an umbrella when you go to the market and watch a show on a rainy day could be even more romantic!

"East Rift Valley Festival" will take place in an outdoor venue, rain or shine! Whether it's a sunny day or windy and rainy, we will proceed with the event as scheduled!
At the event, music performances and market stalls will be held outdoors. For the handcraft experience area, there will be tents set up. We recommend participants to bring their own sunscreen, insect repellent, and rain gear.

There is a parking lot at the event venue. If you are driving, please park your car in the parking lot, please refer to the map of the event site for the location of the parking lot.
