Don’t Just Observe, Get Involved!
Taiwan’s East Coast possesses picturesque mountain and coastal scenery. But what is even more precious is its indigenous culture.
If travelers only enjoy the beautiful surroundings but don’t take the time to learn about the culture, that is a great loss for them. If travelers stay just a short time, before they can develop emotional bonds or identify with this land, that is a loss for the indigenous communities.
Based on the core concept of working with the residents of an indigenous community to accomplish something, we mobilize volunteers to participate in a community project, making up for the gap in manpower. By eating and staying locally, travelers don’t just learn, they participate, making friends with community residents, and building connections and emotional bonds with the land.
Sea and Mountain Experiences for Children
The mysteries of nature and traditional indigenous wisdom that are found along Taiwan’s East Coast open a door for children to explore their surroundings, build their courage, and expand their imagination of the world.
Children are welcome to get away from the city and enter Nature’s embrace, as they embark on a wonderful in-depth cultural and experiential journey. Based on indigenous views of culture and nature, children understand, remember, perceive, and learn. As they learn by doing, they become aware of the shared wisdom of indigenous communities and nature, while gaining knowledge and expanding their imagination of the world.
